My clinical approach is eclectic, motivational, and empowering, pulling from many different theories such as cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, EMDR and reality-based perspectives. For alcohol and drug addiction, my approach is more of a choice-based philosophy. I believe that alcohol or drug abuse can be a symptom of something deeper, and if the underlying emotional struggle is not addressed, recovery (or maintaining sobriety) could be challenging. 

Connect via online video for individual sessions. It works just like face-to-face counseling but in a “virtual room“ via a secure platform. The benefit is that this “virtual room” travels with you, where you are, and is only as far away as your smart phone, tablet or computer. For paperwork I will email you a secure link to enable you to easily fill out the forms from your home or device. Instead of having to come into an agency or office, online counseling allows for you to connect with your counselor more conveniently.

It  can be intimidating to start therapy, and I will do my best to respect who you are and what goals you are seeking. I believe therapy should be a two-way street, where we work together to decide how to achieve your goals. Your current emotional struggle does not have to define your future.
