actually i CAN
Therapy gives us a place to slow things down, understand what is happening, develop new skills, and work toward meaningful change. But life keeps happening between appointments.
actually iCAN is a free wellness and recovery support app I developed to help bridge that space.
The idea is simple: when stress rises, motivation drops, cravings hit, emotions become overwhelming, or you simply want to keep working on yourself, you have practical tools available instead of waiting until your next session.
The app brings several types of support together in one place:
Ask actually iCAN AI — Ask questions about anxiety, trauma, recovery, ADHD, depression, stress, relationships, coping, or personal growth. The AI can also connect you directly with relevant exercises and programs inside the app.
Guided Programs & Workbooks — Work through structured material covering anxiety and overthinking, depression and low mood, trauma/PTSD, ADHD and executive functioning, early recovery, 12-Step work, shadow work, and more.
Practical Coping Tools — Practice CBT and DBT skills, grounding, breathing, urge surfing, relapse-prevention strategies, tapping, somatic exercises, nervous-system regulation, and other practical techniques.
Journal & Reflection — Write privately, use AI to help explore or interpret what you wrote, and choose whether you want to share a reflection with me.
Goals & Follow-Through — Set a simple daily, weekly, or monthly goal and track how consistently you follow through over time.
Body & Wellness Tracking — Track exercise, nutrition, sleep, blood pressure, weight, energy, and other wellness information to better understand how physical habits may relate to mood and overall well-being.
Client Messaging — Clients can communicate with me through the app and share selected journal entries, goals, or AI reflections when useful.
Recovery & Mental-Health Resources — Quickly access additional peer-support and online recovery resources when you need them.
actually iCAN isn't intended to just give you more things to read.
The goal is to help you understand → practice → reflect → follow through.
For example, you might ask the AI why anxiety feels so physical, learn what is happening in the nervous system, practice a grounding exercise, journal about what triggered it, and then bring what you learned into your next counseling session.
Over time, those small moments of practice can become part of the larger work of change.
Mental health and physical health don't operate independently.
Sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, recovery, routines, and consistency can all influence how we feel and function. That's why actually iCAN also includes simple wellness and exercise tools—not to turn counseling into a fitness program, but to help you pay attention to the whole picture.
actually iCAN is provided free as a support resource.
There is no separate fee to use the app.
